The beach library is an initiative launched by the Denia Municipal Library in 2021. In essence, it’s a free book and newspaper lending service right on the beach — something simple that completely transforms your summer experience.
You can borrow a book for up to 15 days and read it wherever you like: on the sand, at your accommodation, on a sunbed, or under your parasol. There’s also a reading area with tables and chairs where you can read the daily papers free of charge. Personally, I found this fantastic — every morning I could read the newspaper calmly, with the sound of the sea in the background, and truly switch off from the world.
