Les Marines Beach
“If you are looking for a fine, golden sandy beach, perfect to unwind and enjoy the Mediterranean, Les Marines is the ideal destination, offering everything you need for an unforgettable experience.”

Les Marines Beach is one of the most well-known and beloved beaches in Dénia. Its fine golden sand and extensive stretch of over 3 kilometres allow visitors to enjoy plenty of space comfortably. It is ideal for families and those seeking relaxation away from crowds, and it offers a wide variety of services. Below, you will find all the information you need to make the most of your visit.
Description
Les Marines is a vast and versatile beach, suitable for all visitors. Located on the northern coast of Dénia, between Les Albaranes Beach and Les Bovetes, it is the only stretch of coast officially named Les Marines Beach. However, many believe that the entire northern coast of Dénia carries this name, which can be confusing for some visitors. Being such a long beach, locals usually divide it into zones for easier identification. Notable areas include Blay Beach, named after the famous local restaurant, and Las Brisas, a section near a shopping area.
Les Marines Beach stands out for its excellent water quality and the wide variety of services available to visitors. It is also an accessible and well-signposted beach, making it a comfortable and safe destination for everyone. Thanks to these qualities, Les Marines has been awarded the Blue Flag, a recognition that confirms its commitment to quality and environmental care.
The beach features fine, golden sand, with an average width of 80 metres, providing a comfortable environment even on the busiest days. However, in some areas, particularly at Blay Beach, erosion has reduced the amount of sand, and the sea reaches the front-line houses. Fortunately, a regeneration plan for 2026 has been proposed to restore the sand in affected areas, preserving the beauty and appeal of Les Marines for all visitors.

More Information About Les Marines
On this beach, as with others along the Dénia coast, there are areas where ‘seaweed’ is not removed. While this may be inconvenient for some bathers, these plants, specifically Posidonia oceanica, form underwater meadows essential for the Mediterranean ecosystem. Posidonia contributes to biodiversity, stabilises sediments, protects against erosion, and improves water quality by absorbing CO₂ and producing oxygen. Leaving it on the shore, though it may seem inconvenient, is crucial to protect beaches from erosion and preserve ecological balance, especially in times of climate change and intensive tourism.
