Discover the magic of Punta Negra Beach, a rocky beach located within the San Antonio Cape marine and nature reserve, offering crystal-clear waters, unique marine life, and breathtaking landscapes. Perfect for a refreshing day in nature, snorkelling, and photography.

Description

Punta Negra Beach is a special spot on the coast of Dénia, located within the Les Rotes Marine Reserve. This rocky beach is known for its easy access and extraordinary marine life, making it one of the best places for snorkelling in the area. In 2025, it was awarded the Blue Flag, proving that it is not only a beautiful beach but also safe, accessible, and environmentally friendly.

You can reach Punta Negra on foot via the coastal walkway along Les Rotes, or by car, parking in a nearby lot provided by the town hall. This convenience makes the beach accessible to all visitors, from hikers to families seeking a day of relaxation in nature.

The beach is divided into two main areas. The first is Punta Negra itself, formed by dark rocks, as its name suggests, but there are areas with flat stones and cement for comfortably placing your towel. Additionally, it has steps providing easy access to the water.

To the south, you will find another area with rounded stones, more spacious and less crowded, ideal for those seeking a little more peace and quiet during the summer months.

Punta Negra is a privileged spot for snorkelling enthusiasts. Being in a marine reserve, once you dive into its crystal-clear waters, you will see all kinds of marine life, and you may even be surrounded by schools of fish. It is also common to spot seabirds such as gulls and cormorants diving into the water to fish.

If you enjoy photography, Punta Negra offers countless opportunities to capture nature at its purest. The coastal walkway along the beach allows you to find spectacular and unique spots, perfect for landscape and wildlife photography.
